With traffic finally picking up in the region, Emirates is adding a third daily service between Dubai and Hong Kong.

The additional flight, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, will provide non-stop services between Dubai and Hong Kong and support the growing demand for travel on the route, with timings to allow passengers flexibility on which flight they wish to take.
It will commence on the 1st November. The planned extra service is listed below to operate during the winter timetable
EK382 DEPART DXB 03:15 ARRIVE HKG 14:30 EK383 DEPART HKG 18:00 ARRIVE DXB 23:05 Operates 1 November 2023 – 30 March 2024 Operates Daily Booked Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER
Emirates will utilise a Boeing 777-300ER on this route, with a three-class configuration, offering seats in First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.
With the third scheduled service, Emirates will now operate two daily direct flights to the city in addition to a third daily service via Bangkok. The added flights to be deployed in November will complement Emirates’ direct services on EK380/381 as well as EK384/385, operating with a short stopover in Bangkok. Both services utilise Emirates’ A380 aircraft.
Tickets can be obtained via Emirates and its usual sales channels and travel agency friends.
Building out connectivity
Hong Kong remains an important travel node, especially with travel returning to the region after a period of minimal traffic.
It’s still an important centre, with Emirates seeing passengers from Hong Kong including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, South Africa and the European Union. Similarly, there’s plenty of traffic going the other way, be it for business, leisure or other reasons – with the airline seeing travellers go to the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and a host of European destinations.
Whilst there will be some who will pine for Hong Kong’s hometown airline, Emirates will offer a host of destinations via its hub in Dubai – whilst offering three connections a day – including one going via Bangkok, which will appeal to some people in the market.
For Emirates, it’s a chance to capture some of that connecting traffic, with extra capacity and frequency – before committing a larger aircraft to the operation.
