LOT Polish Airlines is preparing to refit its Boeing 787 fleet, fitted with the airline going exclusively with Recaro Aircraft Seating/
The LOT Boeing 787 refit will cover the installation of seats in Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy seats, using the CL6720, PL3530, and CL3810 seats in the business, premium, and economy classes, respectively.
This will be over the eight long-haul aircraft LOT currently operates.
The delivery of more than 2,000 passenger seats is scheduled to commence in Q3 2026, which will mark the first time for RECARO to partner with LOT on a widebody project. Production of the economy class seats will take place at the RECARO facility in Świebodzin, Poland.
The product stack
Starting in Business Class, LOT will use the CL6720.
This features a full-flat bed product with an ergonomic design and is capable of being specified to a customer’s requirements. The seat features a lightweight structure that reduces the weight of it in the cabin.
Moving into the Premium Economy product, the PL3530 will be deployed.
The PL3530 offers ergonomic cushioning, adjustable recline, and an intuitive control panel. Passengers can stay connected with integrated entertainment options and USB charging ports throughout their flight.
Finally, LOT will use the new-generation CL3810 long-haul economy seat. This seat features a lightweight, yet comfortable seat, yet has the space on a long-haul flight. It offers a six-way adjustable headrest, lumbar support, and recline options up to six inches, ensuring a comfortable experience on long-haul flights.

Another nose-to-tail win
It’s another win for Reacro – but more importantly – a nose-to-tail win, covering the entire cabin. This would indicate there will be significant savings over time, with LOT single-sourcing from one supplier, as well as keeping some production relatively local.
For passengers, it’s a win too, with reasonable comfort being delivered through the cabin (especially with the selection of the new CL3810 economy class seats).
I look forward to how LOT Polish Airlines customises these Reacro products and what individual touches they will bring.
