It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Finnair Airbus A350-900 being towed to the maintenance hangers at Helsinki Airport in some rather dramatic autumn afternoon light.
Finnair operates a fleet of 19 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with two of the number assigned to Eurowings Discover. These operate along the Airbus A330-300 fleet which is operated primarily on their long haul operations. These aircraft also operate services on certain trunk routes in Europe.
These aircraft feed into the Helsinki hub, allowing passengers to connect onward to destinations in Europe and across the world.
This aircraft – OH-LWG – was delivered to Finnair from Airbus in September 2016, making it just over seven years and two months at the time of writing. In recent days, it has operated from its home at Helsinki Vantaa Airport to Hong Kong, London Heathrow, Singapore Changi, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Dehli.
More Airplane Art next week!
