Emirates to increase capacity to Seoul

04/01/2024 by Kevincm

Emirates is increasing its capacity to the South Korean capital – Seoul, with extra flights starting in February.

The airline currently operates a daily service to Seoul. This will be augmented with three additional flights, creating a 10-flight-a-week operation.

The new additional flights commence on the 19th of February 2024. The planned operation is as follows

EK324 DEPART DXB 04:45 ARRIVE ICN 18:05
EK345 DEPART ICN 22:00 ARRIVE DXB 03:15+1

Commences 19th February 2024
Operates In addition to current daily service.
Operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Booked Equipment: Three-Class Boeing 777-300ER

Emirates will deploy a Boeing 777-300ER in a three-class configuration on board. This service will support the existing service which is operated with an Airbus A380.

Emirates’ additional services will increase the capacity of flights between Dubai and Seoul by more than 1,000 additional seats per week, helping to alleviate the suppressed demand for international travel to East Asian destinations. This will support South Korea’s inbound and outbound tourism, as well as provide valuable cargo capacity with an extra 45 tonnes of liftable capacity.

More Soul for Seoul

The airline has operated flights to Seoul since 2005, with it supported currently by a daily A380 service. With the extra capacity of 1000 extra seats, it will provide options for those who choose to connect through Dubai and beyond, connecting to the Emirate network, now made up of over 130 destinations worldwide.

And having a choice is important – not just for passengers, but for those who need to move cargo around the world. With South Korea a key supplier of high-tech (and high-value) products, cargo shippers will look forward to more capacity being available for use.
