It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Lufthansa Airbus A350-900 climbing out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport as it heads off to its home base of Munich Airport.
Lufthansa operates a fleet of 23 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with one parked currently. The airline also operates the Airbus A330-300, Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus A380, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 747-8I and Boeing 787-9 in its widebody fleet.
The airline has outstanding orders for the Airbus A350-900, Airbus A350-1000, Boeing 777-9 and Boeing 787-9 for expanding and replacing its older aircraft.
These aircraft connect Lufthansa’s hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, connecting Germany to the world.
This aircraft – D-AIXI is named Dortmund. It joined the Lufthansa fleet in May 2018. The aircraft has remained in the fleet since then. Over the past week, it has operated out of its Munich hub, flying to Dubai, Cape Town, San Francisco, Osaka and Beijing.
More Airplane Art next week!
