It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a United Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on final approach to Chicago O’Hare International as it completes a long-haul trip.
United Airlines operates a fleet of 38 of the middle child of the Boeing 787 family. The airline also operates the Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 767-400ER, Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-10 in its wide-body fleet. These are used to connect United Airlines hubs to the world and for hub-to-hub flights.
This aircraft – N29984 – joined the United Airlines fleet in September 2020, making it just under three and half years old at the time of writing. The aircraft has been active recently, operating hub-to-hub traffic (between Denver and San Francisco, Los Angeles, Los Angeles to Washington Dulles), as well as international routes from San Francisco to Singapore, Brisbane, and Los Angeles to Melbourne.
More Airplane Art next week!
