Air France’s regional subsidiary HOP! is preparing to update its interiors.

Currently, the Embraer 190s are set to get new cabins and seats for the regional services as part of the refresh.
To design the aircraft’s future seats, Air France has teamed up with Expliseat, the French manufacturer of an innovative carbon fiber and titanium seat combining a lightweight and sustainable design with enhanced comfort, durability and functionality.
These seats will be tailored to the airline’s needs, they will be manufactured and assembled in Angers, France. The entire cabin decor will be also given a makeover in the Air France colours, from the walls of the aircraft to the carpet on the floor.
The refurbishment of the Embraer 190s will start after summer at the HOP! maintenance site in Clermont-Ferrand. The first of these revamped aircraft will take to the skies in autumn 2024.
To be revealed
They will be unveiled exclusively from 28 to 30 May at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg (Germany). All things being equal, Economy Class and Beyond should be there to cover the launch.
What do we know about Expliseat?
Economy Class and Beyond has seen Expliseat’s products for some time at trade shows, with one of the more recent signings being Jazeera Airways who took their TiSeat E2 last year.

They are known for their extremely lightweight seats, starting at 6.5kg per seat, primarily using titanium and carbon fibre in its structure. There are currently two versions of the E2 being marketed – one for the narrow body and one for regional aircraft.
We’ll have to see how HOP! and Air France customise the seat – or if they’ve chosen something new….
