The airline has committed to outfitting its fleet with Wi-Fi capabilities for the first time ever, through the installation of Panasonic Avionics’ Ku-band satellite connectivity on the airline’s 15 new A220s by 2027.

The first aircraft is set to enter service in June 2024.

To support the use of the connectivity, every seat on the new A220 fleet will also feature USB-A and USB-C ports, alongside convenient smartphone and tablet holders for enhanced passenger convenience.

The Ku-band antenna installed on Croatia Airlines’ new A220 fleet will connect each aircraft with Panasonic Avionics’ global communications network of high-speed, high-bandwidth satellites, which places capacity where it is most needed to meet the needs of airlines and their passengers.

In-flight pricing for connectivity has not been disclosed at this juncture.
