SNAPSHOT: Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Rosemont

08/04/2024 by Kevincm

It’s time for another snapshot, this time looking at the hotel experience at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, in Rosemont, near Chicago O’Hare International.

Location

The Hyatt Regency O’Hare is within 10 minutes of Chicago O’Hare International Airport. It’s accessible by Shuttle bus, car and public transit, with it being a 5-minute walk from Rosemont L Station and bus station.

Check-in

I was able to check in straight away upon arriving at the hotel and was allocated a room on the 4th floor.  There was a short delay to check-in, as quite a few people were checking in at the same time.

No early check-in fee was levied.

Dedicated desks were available for elites to check in

The Room

I was assigned a twin bedroom, with queen-sized beds being made available. There was a noisemaker and alarm between the two beds.

The lounge chair which was previously in the room had been removed.

Dominating the room, was a large LG TV on the dresser.

Underneath was a drinks fridge (which was noted not to be used for food).

Coffee and Tea facilities were available, with a Keurig machine. This was atop of a workspace table Water was provided to the side free for Hyatt elities.

In the bathroom, there’s a bath, toilet and sink. Amenities were provided in bulk-packed bottles.

Breakfast

Breakfast was not offered on the rate I was on. A buffet breakfast was offered in the restaurant on the mezzanine/lobby level.

Other Amenities

Both the Red Bar and the Perks Coffee shop were used. The bar appeared to be popular most nights, as noise was leaking into the room, whilst the coffee shop appeared to do good business, as well as offering a table service.

Check Out

Checkout was a simple process, with the process completed in a matter of minutes.  With that, I was able to continue on my trip to the Windy City.

Shuttle buses were limited, with congestion noted at some points for buses to and from the airport

The full review of the Hyatt Regency O’Hare is coming soon!
