It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700 at San Francisco International Airport resting as it awaits its next duty. In the background, a jetBlue A321 and a private jet are commencing parrells takeoffs.
Southwest Airlines operates a fleet of 378 Boeing 737-700 aircraft in its fleet. The airline also operates the Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-MAX 8 in its fleet. Together these aircraft connect both domestic and international destinations from its various hubs in the USA.
This aircraft – N7849A – was initially delivered to China Southern Airlines in March 2006. It was parked in February 2016, then leased to Southwest Airlines in Augst 2016, where it has remained since.
It’s been busy, operating to various destinations including New Orleans, Washington-Regan, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago O’Hare and Midway, Atlanta, Houston, Orlando, San Antonio, Baltimore, Fort Lauderdale, Syracuse, Cleveland, Long Beach, Omaha, Dallas Love Field, Kansas City, San Diego, San Jose, Wichita, Sacramento, Boise and Louisville.
