Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond (27nd July)

27/07/2024 by Kevincm

As we head towards the end of July and the school holidays in firm swing, we have had a rather busy week in the real world.

So, once again, it’s time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond

Farnborough Air Show 2024

It was a quiet week at Farnborough, with supply chain shortages affecting orders. Still, some positive things for the industry to look forward to.

  • Day 1  – Early Boeing Wins
  • Day 2 – The Rise of the Widebody
  • Day 3 – A Calm Before an Order Storm?
  • Day 4 – Life at the end of the show

Next Week

With the big airshow over and everyone racing to get a few weeks off before September kicks in, I’m expecting the presses to be a little quieter than normal.

That’s no bad thing, as I need to plot a temporary escape from Britiania myself.

We’ve got the wrap-up to the Hamburg Trip to finish (which should be a 5pmish thing providing I remember to hit the publish button – that can be a challenge unto itself).

And we’ll keep an ear open for anything interesting that crosses the wire, feeds or raises my eyebrow.

Until then, Happy Landings!
