It seems demand is a thing for Qatar Airways, with the airline adding an extra four frequencies to Amsterdam.

The net result will be a double-daily service between Hamad International Airport in Doha to Amsterdam Schipol Airport for the majority of the winter season.
The four extra flights a week will operate between 12 November 2024 and 29 March 2025.
Qatar Airways’ 14 weekly flights will enable 40,000 additional passengers to travel between Amsterdam and Doha through its hub, Hamad International Airport.

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori, said:
“Qatar Airways is delighted to witness and serve the growing travel demand in the Dutch capital, which is an integral destination in our European network. We look forward to offering our world-class product and seamless service to travellers from Amsterdam seeking to experience the world through Qatar Airways’ extensive network of more than 170 global destinations.”
Flexing Demand
With demand increasing from Amsterdam, it seems that Qatar Airways is ready to embrace that demand, funnelling those extra passengers through its hub (rather than have them connect elsewhere, such as London or Frankfurt).
For passengers travelling between Amsterdam and Doha, it’s providing extra choice with two direct departures a day – and that choice can be useful indeed.
We’ll have to see if there is enough demand beyond the winter timetable to convert the Doha-Amsterdam pair into a double-daily operation.
