Lufthansa has rolled out their Allegris product slowly – but notably, in a three-class configuration. That changes, when the first aircraft fitted with the full four-class product takes flight on the 9th of November.
This will mark the first time the full Allegris product has been offered, and the first time Lufthansa Allegris First Class will fly on on long-haul routes.
The first destinations which will get the full Allegris experience will be Bangalore on 9th November and Mumbai on 15th November. These routes will then be served alternately with the new First Class.
Allegris First Class – the “Suit Plus” product will be deployed on an Airbus A350-900. After a technical introduction phase, Lufthansa will initially present the new, innovative product to its most loyal guests by invitation.
As soon as more aircraft with the new First Class are part of the fleet, targeted upgrades by passengers and later targeted bookings will be possible step by step.
Aboard Allegris First Class
The furnishings in the First Class Suite introduce the ability for guests can heat or cool their almost one-meter-wide seats in the suite according to their personal needs.
The separate suites with ceiling-high walls and lockable door, a large table and wide seat, a huge screen and wireless over-ear headphones, set new standards in comfort and individuality in the highest class. A personal wardrobe in the suite provides ample storage space so that travellers can change comfortably and have all their personal items to hand.
The Suite Plus also combines maximum comfort for individual guests with the unique option of travelling together with a travel partner in a suite.
It’s about time
The Allegris product rollout has been… slow, to put it mildly – with only the first Allegris aircraft started flying this year in May – and its incomplete form.
For Lufthansa, it’s a big step forward, this being their flagship seat which is going to cost a substantial amount of cash when they start offering it on sale to their passengers (after offering it to their most loyal passengers).
For those passengers – it’s going to have to impress.
