Cathay Pacific has in the past partnered with restaurants for its premium cabins. Well, it seems they’re working with Michelin-starred restaurant Yat Tung Heen to offer customers a taste of home in the skies in Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Tricking down the classes
Most collaborations we’ve seen so far have focused on premium cabins (first and business class), so it’s interesting to see that Cathay Pacific has found a partner who will work with them to extend their brand to Premium Economy and Economy Class.
Meals like this do take careful preparation (and I’m sure you’ve seen multiple videos on how airlines cater their kitchens), so this rollout is no small undertaking by the airline.
The trick of these sort of meal rollouts is maintaining quality, whilst balancing the costs of the partnership.
It’ll be interesting to see how these perform in the air, as well as a good reason to fly out of Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific.
