“We’re excited to launch direct flights between London Gatwick and Bangkok, a top choice among our travelers. This addition not only strengthens our existing network between Asia but also builds on our routes from London Gatwick to destinations across the Atlantic and South Africa. For us it’s all about offering more travel options at great prices without compromising on comfort and service for those looking to enjoy a beautiful and warm winter sunshine destination,”

Building options… as well as challenges
Norse Atlantic is building out its UK operation, with the airline operating flights across the Atlantic and to South Africa, and now to include Asia. The introduction of this service marks a significant expansion of the airline’s operations in the UK market.
However, to make the operation work (given how Norse loves to sublease its fleet), the London Gatwick – Miami service is being dropped for the season it seems.
The bigger challenge is the London to Bangkok market, with EVA Air, Thai Airways International operating from Heathrow, and British Airways operating from Gatwick (which itself has struggled with the London – Bangkok route for years).
Norse will bring low prices and such to the route to stimulate demand. We’ll have to see if people rise to the offer given…
