It is Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Smartwings Poland Boeing 737-800 departing Hamburg Airport as it heads off to its home base of Prague Airport.
Smartwings operates four subsidiaries, with Smartwings Hungary, Smartwings Poland and Smartwings Slovacia each having one Boeing 737-800 assigned to it. Smartwings itself (flagged in the Czech Republic) operates Airbus A220 (flagged as Czech Airlines) Airbus A320, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-900 and Boeing 737-8.
This aircraft SP-TVZ first flew in June 2007. Initially, it flew with Flyglobespan (until the airline collapsed). It was picked up by Travel Service, then headed over to XL Airways France, back to Travel Service and re-registered under Travel Service Poland and finally under its renamed brand – Smartwings Poland.
As a short-haul aircraft, it has been rather active, operating from its Prague and Warsaw homes to Hamburg, Rome, Marsa Alam, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
More Airplane Art next week!
