Deployment
With the range the Airbus A350-1000 offers as well as its passenger amenities, this aircraft will be a flexible aircraft for the missions it will fly. This summer, Etihad will begin operating the A350 to Atlanta, its newest and sixth gateway into North America and one of 16 new routes Etihad is launching this year.
That flexibility is important, given that these aircraft are sent around the globe, supporting its network at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.
For the airline, it will be also mean lower costs in the longer term as it phases out older aircraft that guzzle fuel – improving sustainablity, as well as the bottom line.
