Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond (26th April)

26/04/2025 by Kevincm Leave a Comment

It’s that time of the week again, when I put a bunch of links together after a 200-mile round trip in a day.

Time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond.

Chiltern Railways Class 168 train at Birmingham Moor Street Station
A rare sight this weekend in the West Midlands – with Chiltern Railways only taking their trains as far as Warwick Parkway on Sunday.

TRIP REPORT: Springtime Transatlantic Aventures

It’s time for a new trip report. We’re going transatlantic for this one to Chicago. Here are your first three parts.

  • Springtime Transatlantic Aventures with British Airways and American Airlines
  • To the joy of Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 with FlixBus
  • Lounging Around Heathrow Terminal 5 (South and T5B)

** Cough, Cough.. Splutter, Splutter **

  • Getting used to travelling with Asthma… again – The joy of Asthma. Not like the joy of other things.

Passenger Experience

  • Scandinavian Airlines introduces “Flavors by SAS” – This article made the spellchecker mad.
  • To Brew, To Serve – British Airways partners with Birchall for Tea – Everything stops for tea,

Routes and Network

  • EVA Air to launch a Taipei to Dallas-Fort Worth Route – Asia heads to Dallas
  • Virgin Atlantic prepares to launch its Seoul service, as well as building out eastwards – Seoul starts next year, whilst Riyadh goes to full strength
  • KLM to returns to Barbados its winter timetable – Winter sun and fun

New Aircraft News

  • flyadeal signs for Airbus A330neos – More heading to Saudi.

Airplane Art

  • Airplane Art – easyJet Switzerland Airbus A320 at Hamburg Airport

Next Week

I’m running behind on more than a few things (as I’ve had my fingers in other pies over the past week – even if it’s been a four-day week). We’ve got a full week again before we hit the Spring Bank Holiday, and there are a few stories from AIX I need to tell.

The new trip report will also be in progress, and hopefully, three more parts will make it out next week.

In addition, we’ll have news, views, and anything else interesting that crosses my desk.

Until then, Happy Landings!
