It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300 about to land on the north runway at London Heathrow Airport as it completes another long haul journey.
Virgin Atlantic operates seven Airbus A330-300 aircraft in its fleet. The airline also operates the newer Airbus A330-900neo, Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 787-9 in its all-widebody operation. These aircraft operate from Heathrow Terminal 3, connecting destinations across its network.
The aircraft depicted is G-VRAY. Like most of the Virgin Atlantic fleet, it is named – in this case, “Miss Sunshine”. The aircraft joined the Virgin Atlantic fleet in March 2012, with it staying with the airline throughout its life. It was parked between May 2020 to October 2021. The aircraft remains active at the time of writing, with it operating out of its London Heathrow home to Washington-Dulles, Miami, Boston, Orlando, Bridgetown and Kingstown.
More Airplane Art next week!
