After a break of 11 years, Finnair is eyeing a return to Canada.
Finnair is planning to restart operations to Toronto, Canada. The airline will commence operations on the Helsinki Vantaa – Toronto Pearson International route on 4 May 2026, flying three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
Planned operations are:

The first flights have been loaded on Finnair’s site and are available for booking.
Finnair is planning to utilise an Airbus A330-300 on this route. This will be configured with 28 Business Class seats (based on the Collins Aerospace AirLounge), 21 Premium Economy Seats and 230 Economy Seats (with 42 of them being Economy Comfort).
The restart to Toronto comes after an 11-year break, with the airline last flying to Toronto in Summer 2015.
In addition to Toronto, Finnair will fly next summer to New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle in North America – a total of six routes across the Atlantic.
