It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have an Air India Airbus A350-900 arriving at London Heathrow Airport as it completes the journey from India. This Air India Airbus A350 is depicted in the new house livery.
Air India currently operates a fleet of six Airbus A350-900 aircraft in its widebody fleet. They support Boeing 777-200LR, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9 in its widebody operation.
This aircraft, VT-JRB, was initially destined for Aeroflot. Since then, it was taken over by Airbus Financial Services and then leased to Air India, where it entered into fleet operations in February 2024. It has remained in the Air India fleet since then.
The aircraft is currently active, operating out of the airline’s hub in Delhi to New York-JFK, Dubai and London Heathrow at the time of writing.
More Airplane Art next week!
