“Grab- and-Go” for a lounge option continues to be a thing, with American Airlines launching its new concept – Provisions by Admirals Club.
This lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a “grab-and-go” lounge – a first-of-its-kind space for American Airlines. This is located at Concourse A, next to gate A1, open between 06:15 to 22:45.
This space will provide access to services, fresh food, and beverage options, allowing customers to come and go with ease, whether they’re looking for a quick snack or assistance with their travel journey. Two agents will be based in the lounge to assist.

At the lounge, breakfast is served from 06:15 to 11:00 daily, featuring light bites including pastries, snack mixes, yoghurt and fruit options, along with more substantial breakfast meal boxes.
Meanwhile, All-Day offerings are served from 11:00 to 22:45 daily, feature a mix of salty snacks, sweet treats and meal boxes. Vegetarian options are available at all hours.
For those who need watering too, a beverage station will allow travellers to grab canned and bottled beverages to take on their trip. Coffee and tea are also available.

Sometimes you don’t have time to do the full lounge visit
I love a good lounge visit when I travel, as part of a decompress process when travelling. But there are times I need to grab a drink, snack and head to the gate (rather than donating to the local airport outlets, with the outrageous prices that they charge).
This is where grab-and-go outlets can help the passenger who is interested in getting the basics of a lounge experience, whilst cutting down the time needed to interact with the facility.
This works well, especially for those who hold lounge memberships but are focused on spending the minimal amount of time at the airport.
It’s another useful dot in the passenger experience.
