After teasing us with their Premium BIZ product, Eurowings has finally placed it on sale.
And I hope you’ve got deep pockets, if you want to try it.

Premium BIZ seat will be priced as an upgrade for those who value more space, privacy, and service when travelling. The Premium BIZ seat will make its debut on 22 November 2025, on the nonstop route from Berlin to Dubai.
However, those who are expecting Eurowings’ discounted pricing are in for a shock, with the starting price being €399.99 per leg in addition to the regular BIZclass fare.
Again, you will need a BIZclass fare, as well as at least €399.99 upgrade each way.
Besides the Premium BIZ seat, passengers can still choose between the classic BIZclass (which offers a free middle seat and more legroom) and the economy fares SMART (with optional extra legroom) and BASIC fares.
The seat being installed is from Geven, offering a recliner business class seat with a legrest. It offers the space, as well as an integrated cocktail table and a USB charging port. In terms of soft products, Eurowings will offer a high-quality menu with an aperitif and a hot meal, as well as additional extras such as a blanket, pillow, and amenity kit.
This PremiumBIZ seat is initially being installed aboard an Airbus A320neo. The Premium BIZ seat replaces the usual 2×3 seating arrangement with a spacious 2×2 layout, with eight seats per aircraft.

This makes Eurowings the first German airline to offer premium seats in narrow-body aircraft such as the Airbus A320neo.
Booking is open for those of you who have deep pockets.
It’s “Market Testing”. We’ll see.
I’m by no means the target audience for this, but Eurowings is going for the jugular here, with it requiring both a business fare and an upgrade fee to go with it.
That feels… excessive to me, given that Eurowings wings wants at least €329 one-way (with pricing going well into the €400 terriority). If you want to fly both segments with PremiumBIZ, you are looking at a starting price of €1560 return.
I think you can get better pricing for a flat seat, rather than a recliner.
Eurowings is calling this point of the programme “Market testing”. This is starting with the 2025/26 winter flight schedule is also intended to provide other Lufthansa Group airlines with valuable insights for the future configuration of new aircraft fleets.
We’ll have to see if this is successful or not.
But this pricing isn’t what I call competitive to a destination where the passenger experience expectations could be a lot higher than a recliner seat.
