In Quotes

Andrew Flintham, Managing Director of British Airways Holidays, said:

“Whilst the end of summer is a bittersweet time for many, the End of Summer Sale is the perfect antidote to the holiday blues. Whether you’re dreaming of escaping to warmer climates such as St Lucia or Mauritius or craving a vibrant city break exploring the sights of Paris or Budapest, our sale offers a range of flights and packages which are perfect for your next adventure.”

Time to make a saving

If you need to book British Airways (and also, some of these savings will be on codeshare/joint venture routes, such as Finnair, Iberia and American Airlines), it could be time to go dumpster diving in the British Airways fare engine to see if there’s anything interesting in the sale.

There is normally some value to be had (I’ve done well on economy flights to the USA in the past). Like any sale, you have to dive in headfirst into the fare engine and see if there’s anything that meets your needs and dates.

Well, it’s not as if you’ll get a battle pile of Avios and Tier Points, unless you go Club World with a Holiday, with the multiplier switched on.

Those days are long gone….
