As we exit August, and the schools head back, your writer is enjoying the slightly cooler weather and rain.
Well, enjoying is a stretch. It’s time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond.
The Birmingham Canal Old Line, heading towards Black Sabbath Bridge and Gas Street Basin.
Yes, I’m still neck-deep in a Windows 11 deployment project. Yes, it is slowly wiping me out as I try to get more devices in. Who would have thought laptops from over five years ago might not be fit to run something? Anyhoo. Yes, I’m still busy with it as we come up to the Windows 10 End of Support Date. I’ll have something later next month as we come up to the final month of Windows 10 in full support… and if you can’t upgrade, how to get updates beyond the deadline.

Next Week
Whilst I’m ploughing through Windows 11 upgrade prompts, I’m still trying to find time to take a late summer break (although right now, it looks like a busy travel time in October, no matter what).
Also, with lots of companies seeing the return of their workforce after various holidays, we should be seeing a lot more headlines in the future (although Spirit Airlines seems to have decided to make its own unwanted headlines, with the airline re-entering Chapter 11).
So hopefully, I’ll have more headlines as the week progresses, with my usual mix of news, views and anything else that catches my eye.
Until then, Happy Landings!
