It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Jet2 Boeing 737-800 taxiing out at Birmingham Airport, as nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday.
Jet2 operates a fleet of 97 Boeing 737-800s in its fleet. The airline also operates Airbus A321, Airbus A321neo, Airbus A330-200 (leased capacity) and Boeing 737-300 in its fleet.
These aircraft operate from bases across the United Kingdom to support Jet2’s network, both operating flights and Jet2 Holidays services.
This aircraft is registered as G-DRTY and is named Jet2 Turkey. The aircraft was initially purchased by Ryanair as EI-DAT in December 2023, and it left the fleet in October 2010. It was then transferred to Okay Airways of China as B-5575 in December 2010 and remained with them until November 2019. From there, it was finally assigned to Jet2 from December 2019, where it has remained since.
It has been operating out of Leeds-Bradford and London Luton to Larnaca, Alicante, Rhodes, Kos, Heraklion, Lanzarote, Thessaloniki, Burgas, Chania and Dalaman as it ferries passengers on their Jet2 Holidays.
