It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Virgin Atlantic Airbus A350-1000 landing at its home base of London Heathrow, completing another long-haul trip.
Virgin Atlantic operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A350-1000. The airline also operates the Airbus A330-300, Airbus A330-900neo and Boeing 787-9 in its widebody fleet. These aircraft operate from Heathrow Terminal 3, connecting destinations across its network.
The aircraft depicted is G-VPRD. Like most of the Virgin Atlantic fleet, it is named – in this case, “Rain Bow”. The aircraft joined the Virgin Atlantic fleet in October 2019, and it staying with the airline throughout its life.
The aircraft remains active at the time of writing, with it operating out of its London Heathrow home to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York-JFK.
More Airplane Art next week!
