It’s time for another Snapshot, looking at the stay experience at the Holiday Inn Rosemont, near Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

I’m sure you know how I do this travel writing thing by now. But for those reading this for the first time, I have two major travel writing styles:
- Trip Reports—These are full, deep-dive reports that take you into the experience, the small things and the big things!
- Snapshots – These are bite-sized reviews that show you the product in some gentle headlines (and normally, only images shot on the phone)
We’re on Snapshots for the next few days whilst I wrangle the trip report from a random collection of written chapters and bad spelling, into a cohesive, easy-to-digest, whilst the world laughs at me.
Booking
This was booked via the IHG site. No rate code was used, with a rate of $150. I paid extra for the use of a room with a runway view
Location
The Holiday Inn/Staybridge Suites is on the northeast perimeter of O’Hare Airport. It’s on the Mannheim Road near the Allstate Arena, with the two properties combined.
It’s next to a Portillo’s Hot Dogs, and opposite a McDonald’s and Popeyes, if you dare to risk the 10 lanes of traffic.

It’s connected via a Shuttle Bus to O’Hare Airport and is within reach of O’Hare Transfer/O’Hare Multi-Modal Facility.
Check-in
After an entertaining taxi ride from O’Hare, I was able to check in after 13:00.
Keys and a room facing the runway were assigned at check-in. Payment was taken at this point, as well as a room deposit.

Lobby
The lobby features a grab-and-go, a cafe, a restaurant, and a Staybridge Suites area.

The Room
The room was located on the 5th floor, some way from the elevator bank. As requested, there was an airport view.

The bed was reasonably firm, with the usual sheets on top. USB-A and main charging were on each side of the bed.

A modern take on a chase lounge was to the edge of the room.

Tea and coffee factories were in pod form on the desk. USB-A and mains outlets were available via the lamp.

A large TV was also wall-mounted.

The bathroom was modern and clean. Bulk amenities were on the wall for the shower.

Check out
I was able to check out at the front desk without any issues, with the bill settled and no further charges sustained.
The deposit was refunded to my card around two days after my stay.
The full review of the Holiday Inn/Staybridge Suites Rosemont is coming soon.
