06/10/2012 by Kevincm

Today is the 6th October. For most of you, a completely unimportant day. For me, it's the day that GhettoIFE completed the move from Blogger and onto Boarding Area, and my first anniversary here. And nothing says "I love you my readers" than running a prize draw. And as usual, it's something you won't see every day. Well two things. I've got the following: 1st Draw … [Read more...]

05/10/2012 by Kevincm

In what should be no surprise to ... well - anyone, Kingfisher Airlines failed to take to the air today. The airline is hoping to resume flights next week. A mixture of staff confrontations, strike action and management locking out the airline hasn't helped things - with Kingfisher grounded since Sunday. The airline is in the process of trying to reach a settlement … [Read more...]

Wizz Air to continue to take the Wizz and extend its large hand luggage charge

04/10/2012 by Kevincm

Wizz Air have decided in their wisdom that their trial to charge for large hand baggage items was a success, and now wishes to roll out the programme to the rest of its routes from 24th October 2012. If you're honestly surprised... well... this is Wizz Air. The €10 charge is to "encourage" Wizz Air's passengers to take small bags of up to 42cm x 32cm x 25cm. Anything … [Read more...]

04/10/2012 by Kevincm

I'm sure a lot of us took advantage of the MilePoint Premium upgrade - if for one thing: Hyatt Platinum status. Whilst I notch up a good number a nights in Hyatt properties over a year, I tend to either 1) Miss the number of nights and 2) Miss the night stay credit (no thanks to the Hyatt O'Hare sadly who seem to mess up my nights and stay postings every time recently) So … [Read more...]

03/10/2012 by Kevincm

It seems there is one hell of a messup at Whitehall as the franchise to operate the trains on the West Coast Main Line (Linking London Euston, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Stafford, Crewe, Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster and Glasgow) is thrown into question. The service currently operated by Virgin Trains (trading as Virgin West Coast Trains) has been in situ for the … [Read more...]

02/10/2012 by Kevincm

GOL of Brazil has put a nice tidy order in with Boeing for the purchase of 60 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
