LH953 Lack of Safety

Good morning from Frankfurt Airport.. Where I'm rather concerned about a major carrier today after the performance they put in. That carrier's in question: Lufthansa. We've all done boarding producers in the past - get on the plane, stow luggage, find seat, and sit in safety for the next few hours. And this is what I was expecting aboard LH953 from Birmingham to … [Read more...]

UK24: A Visualisation of UK Air Traffic

20/11/2014 by Kevincm

When flying into the UK and flying into one of the major hubs (such as Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester), it's not unusual to be put into a stack or seemingly go around the houses until you reach your destination. NATS have released previous visualisations of the traffic that flies into and above the UK - and have provided a tour of the United Kingdom - and what goes on during … [Read more...]

The Broadway Hotel in Blackpool whipped up a storm with it charging £100 if people placed negative reviews on TripAdvisor. When you HAVE to call the airline

BA HNL Special Fare

A lot of us who do mistake fares are taught one simple rule... and it's DON'T CALL THE AIRLINE But what about fares that aren't mistake fares? The British Airways Premium fare sale came to a close today, and I've been mulling over the fare a few days - least of all to retain BA Gold, but also to try out a new destination. Thankfully, when one is hunting for British Airways … [Read more...]

an airport with airplanes parked on the ground

In flight WiFi for a lot of people is something that is starting to become the norm (well... not for me... I just love the time being disconnected from the world). However, airlines have been either charging the earth or not making services available. Well, it seems Emirates is going to innovate again internationally by offering 10mb of WiFi free on its … [Read more...]

Airline cashback… Is it worth the effort?

31/10/2014 by Kevincm

Lufthansa at Quidco

Time for another old chestnut for me to roast, and that's the joy of cashback when it comes to airlines. Firmly in my sights today is Lucky's favourite airline in the world... Lufthansa. Why yes, I still fly other airlines than BA and AA. I know, it shocks some of you... I needed to make a booking so I could get to FTU Amsterdam so, like any good consumer, I compared prices - … [Read more...]
