Economy Class & Beyond

Greetings from NYC (and some parents need to control their kids…)

08/08/2012 by Kevincm

My thoughts on BA1: excellent service, excellent product. A full trip report will be coming soon. Now, whilst the crew and product were excellent, I'm going to win no friends at all with parents (Sorry Mommypoints), but there were elements on the flight ruined due to hyperactive kids... And their parents not controlling them (for example, using the set as a climbing frame, … [Read more...]

Yes, it was LCY. Greetings from Shannon

08/08/2012 by Kevincm

Greetings from Shannon! Just a quick post - and yes, I fell for the Club World - London City to JFK service A few pics to start your day... There are some downsides sadly, namely a screaming kid in 6B... And it does seem kid loaded today. Much more in the trip report... But there's a plane.. And there's bubbles on it. Please excuse me.... ;)   … [Read more...]

So which way AM I going to New York?

07/08/2012 by Kevincm

A few months ago I posed  a question to you all in the form of a poll: Well lets discount a few of these... There isn't a hope in hell I'm swimming or rowing in that direction! Me. On Virgin. After all the lovely things I write about this airline? I somehow think not... I may like Deltalina, but I'm skipping Delta as I've got no Elite Status (does … [Read more...]

What’s in the Air Canada Elite Kit?

07/08/2012 by Kevincm

Continuing the series of what's in different elite kits, this week it's the turn of Air Canada who have shipped an elite kit to me. So I wake up to the thud of this on the doormat Well they've made an effort on the outside, even if the postal services have tried to kill it. Opening up the kit, and it's off to the really important fun … [Read more...]

Air India to begin accepting Boeing 787-8 deliveries

06/08/2012 by Kevincm

It's taken long enough, but Air India has received final approval from the Indian Government to begin taking delivery of its first Boeing 787-8. Boeing, Air India and the Indian Government have been at odds over the delivery of the aircraft due to the delays of the 787 being built, and the compensation required by the Indian Government. A cabinet committee on … [Read more...]

04/08/2012 by Kevincm

It's Saturday again (and after an unintentional break), it's time to stow your tray table, bring your seat to the upright position and pay attention to the following safety video. This week - it's by Air Arabia, and once again, the children are out to instruct the adults.... Another safety video next week! … [Read more...]

Hong Kong Airlines to abandon Hong Kong – London Business Route

04/08/2012 by Kevincm

In what should also be no surprise, Hong Kong Airlines are preparing to suspend it's Hong Kong to London Gatwick route. The route was a bit of an oddity - the proposition was a twin-business class flight - one section with a lie-flat seat, one section with a recliner type seat, operated by an Airbus A330-200. The begun on the 7th March 2012, and will be up for the chop on … [Read more...]
