EDITORS NOTE: GIVEAWAY CLOSED. RESULTS LATER!!!!
Well, I promised this in a previous post... be here we are. Last week in Dublin, I brought another box of Kinder Surprise Airbus A330-300s.
The surprise was they were €9.99… and not €4.90. Someone had kindly put the sign in the wrong place. Nice work Dublin Airport Duty Free.
Except they’re the same as what I have… so therefore I’m giving these away.
So, to be in with a chance to win a boxed set of Kinder Surprise with Airbus A330-300s insides (not actual Airbus A330-300s… they wouldn’t fit in a box, and the shipping fee would be horrendous) tell me…
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE AVIATION GEEK FIND?
The weirder the find or keepsies, the better. However, as usual – I’ll use Random.org to determine the winner.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As you might had read in the previous post, The US Food and Drugs Administration takes a very dim view of Kinder Surprise Eggs – as does US Customs. Therefore this draw is NOT open to the anyone residing in the United States of America and its dependencies. The Rest of the World can take part.
(It was pointed out to me that I could shuck the chocolate, and send off the plane capsules (bypassing the FDA) – but that defeats the point of a Kinder Surprise to me. I might run another draw if I get time and a chance to pick up more Kinder Surprises with planes in them)
You have until SATURDAY 2nd JULY 12:00 to get your entry in using the comments box below.
Right. Rules and boring stuff.
- Entry is via this post only.
- The prize is set of Kinder Surprise Eggs featuring Airbus A330-300 model aircraft
- One entry per person. I can tell if you’re cheating. Yes. It is possible. Ever heard of something called an IP Address?
- Closes 2nd July 2016, 12:00BST
- Entry is open to all countries except the United States of America and it’s dependencies. ANY ENTRY FROM THE USA WILL BE VOID.
- Prize will be drawn using the wonderful Random.org
- My decision is final.
- Whiners will get Tesco Value Chocolate. Yes. This is a real threat.
- The Prize is not sponsored by Ferrero SpA or Airbus in any form. It came out of my own pocket (after the Brexit vote – the last thing I can afford from abroad)
Well – you know what to do – fill those boxes in below to win!
Good luck!

A brand new airline service trolley (cart for US readers) on ebay, complete with all Air Canada markings. Oddly it was marketed as a tool chest.

If I whine a lot, do you promise to send me Tesco Value Chocolate?
CraigTPA says
(Comment got cut off…)
Tesco chocolate is still better than most inexpensive US chocolate. Especially now that we can’t get proper Cadbury bars, just the crap made here under license.

I’ll see what I can do. 🙂

Dang. I just got back from Dublin via LHR recently and looked all over for these with out success, I can’t win as I’m in the USA. Good post though.

Green tea or Soy sauce kit Kats, strangely good.

Hi Kevincm! If Canadians are allowed to enter, then I’ll say my avgeek find is a “Remove Before Flight” tag on a keychain.
Thanks! Enjoy reading your posts.
Kevincm says
Canadians are welcome! They don’t have the US FDA telling them how to eat 😉
Brenda Guardado says
I don’t have a favorite aviation geek find. But this Airbus A330 is all I need haha too bad I don’t qualify for the contest. Go USA.
Kyle B says
Airport code fridge magnets. My refrigerator is covered in them. I hope I win, I’ve been searching everywhere for these!
Teddy says
An airplane toy labeled as “Thomas and Friends” (Can you guess where I found it? ^_^)
Dwi S says
Airline-labeled luggage tags

Fire training planes at airports.

You would even send it to plane spotters heaven, Sint Maarten, Dutch Caribbean, SXM Airport?
Kevincm says
Yup. Anywhere *but* the United States of America. Sint Martin is Dutch. We’re good!
Emman says
Model airplanes! Despite being overpriced in on-board duty free. I’ll buy them! (:
Simon Perkins says
Sounds good to me.
Gary Byrnes says
Best avgeek find recently was a red cocktail stirrer with an aircraft at the top, picked up at AIX in Hamburg back in April. Branded ‘The Gill Corporation’, who make composite materials for aircraft, apparently. The cocktails were great too.
Just passed through Dublin Airport yesterday and was unaware of the existence of these fab Kinders. Gutted. I wonder are they on sale anywhere else in town?

Saver level award space on a virgin 787 from Newark to Heathtow… Does that count?
Also… Finding a work around to win kinder eggs…. As i technically do live in the US, but will be in London for 2 weeks in August, and do have a British passport!
🙂

Bit of a cheat, but some of those cool little Virgin Atlantic salt and pepper shakers at a boot fair! I’ve never flown VA, so that was a nice find.
Weean says
Award space VLC-IST-DUB-BRS, with a free hotel stay in Istanbul. Well, at the time it seemed like a good find…
