Egypt: FCO Lays on additional charter flight

02/02/2011 by Kevincm

With everything that’s going on, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has made the following announcement:

A charter flight will leave Cairo on Thursday 3 February to enable further British nationals to leave as unrest continues.

The flight from Cairo to Gatwick is to supplement commercial flights already being provided by British airlines.

This flight is not instead of commercial flights – those already booked on other commercial flights should not cancel their bookings.

British nationals who wish to use this service should register with the Foreign Office by calling 020 7008 8765 if you are in the UK or 0020227916000 if you are in Egypt.

There is a charge for using the charter which is approximately £300. You will be able to pay at the airport.

This is in addition to commerical flights operated by BMI and BA.

Invalid request error occurred.
