And no, I don’t know either as Unite’s team can’t seem to organise a ballot either. To the point where British Airways has gone to court to get the strike deemed as illegal.
… and it’s to the point where Unite is having to re-ballot it’s members after what Unite calls “legal blitz” by the airline. BA Retorts that Unite has “nobody to blame but itself”.
British Airways states:
“Unite has once again failed to conduct a proper ballot. We make no apology for having advised Unite of the flaws in its conduct, and lacked legal validity”
“It chose to hide this fact from its members, opting instead for rhetoric about industrial action it knew could not happen.”
Unite’s General secretary Len McCluskey says he anticipated giving the airline official notice of a new vote within 10 days, unless negotiations began.
Both sides are at it like old women. And it’s tiring I have to admit.
Two words sums it up – SORT IT!
