AK: Guess who is launching a Loyalty Scheme?

22/09/2011 by Kevincm

Our low cost carrier friend AirAsia is on the brink of launching it’s own loyalty scheme it seems.

Working with another Tony Fernandez company – Tune Money – a programme is being launched called BIG in a filing to the Malaysian stock exchange.

This will be a loyalty point programme, and customers will collect the from AirAsia and other merchants. Once you’ve got a small pile of them that’s usable, you can redeem for AirAsia flights.

The programme will start in AirAsia’s home – Malaysia, but there are aims to expand it to all parts of the AirAsia business and the locations it serves.

AirAsia is hoping this will improve it’s visibility and brand loyalty to those who give “BIG” Points out.

Like most things – we’ll see….
