Peach Aviation takes to the Air

03/03/2012 by Kevincm

Well the Japanese Low Cost Carrier war has finally engaged, with Peach Aviation taking to the air yesterday.

The first two domestic runs – Osaka’s Kansai International Airport  to New Chitose Airport and Osaka-Fukuoka have now commenced, operating 3 times daily services between these cities.

Coming soon are the Osaka-Kagoshima service and a twice-daily Osaka-Nagasaki route, as well as it’s first international route to Seoul

Things for Peach will spice up over the year as more aircraft come on stream, with routes to Okinawa, Seoul, Hong Kong and Taipei opening up. There will also be more fun with Air Asia Japan and Jetstar Japan opening for business over the year.

Peach Aviation is an A320 shop, with 3 aircraft in service at the moment with another 7 to come, and is partially funded by ANA, as well as two other investors.  ANA are also supporting the entry of Air Asia Japan too.
