Lets have some nice A380 news – well it is the nearly the weekend after all.
Malaysia Airlines first Airbus A380 is edging ever closer after the bird being flown back from Hamburg – where the interiors, furnishings and cabin tests were conducted to the Airbus factory in Toulouse.
Here’s a pic of the plane returning to Toulouse… and someone really spent money on the paint job of this plane….

Malaysia Airlines is preparing for the aircraft, and is due to receive six frames over time. The first of the is due at the end of May, with the second frame entering service in August 2012.
The A380 will join other carriers from South East Asia, and in particular, targeting London on the Kuala Lumpur-London run, which MAS aims to run from the 1st July onwards. The second aircraft will hopefully allow daily operations between KL and London, providing a capacity boost for the Oneworld-elect member.
Malaysia’s A380’s will have 494 seats, configured in
- 8 in first class
- 66 in business
- 420 in economy.
The business class seats, together with 70 economy seats, will be on the aircraft’s upper deck.
Now, MAS have decided to create a quite atmosphere on the top deck of the aircraft, with a baby ban in first class and an infant ban on the top deck, relegating infants and babies to the back of the plane. This has drawn criticism from some quarters, whilst others love this change.
I’d jut get a pair of earplugs… whilst in Economy….

Wow, another minimalistic airline livery…very sad to see another boring paint scheme on such a big airplane. Whatever happened to making a statement? However, the baby ban should become standard – what a great idea! I guess that is the statement.

I agree. On the plus side if Malaysia Airlines need to sell the aircraft quickly, it’s a quick paint job….

lol.the painting is not yet complete! please check the official site of Malaysia Airlines to review the complete one with blue stripes. it is definitely useless to have only white body on this big bird.

You’d better give Airbus a ring to tell them they’ve painted it wrong on the delivery aircraft –
