It’s Saturday, and its time for something different as its the end of the month. I’ve been scouring the interwebs for interesting things, and found another great documentary that was broadcast on the BBC shortly before the Pan Am series played for its one season.
This is the story of Pan American Airways, telling the start with the story on Juan Tripp -from the highs of Flying Boats to the Boeing 707, to the input that Pan Am gave to the 747, a side story about Space tickets and the fall of the airline slowly thereafter including the Flight 103 disaster.
Worth the hour it takes to watch it. If anything for the nostalgia….and seeing that Blue Meatball again.
For those who enjoy this, it’s also worth reading the Wiki article about the airline – including the revival attempts and its current use (apart from being a very successful licensing model)… and I do love my Pan Am Messenger bag.
If you think I’m giving this thing away… you’ve got another think coming!!!
It’s back to safety videos next week.
