Airplane Art Extra – Airbus A350 first engine run

02/06/2013 by Kevincm

Normal Airplane art will resume shortly, but here’s something extra tasty for a lot of us. Regular readers know I keep up to date with the development, rollout and first flights of aircraft. Well Airbus shared a great picture on Twitter today with their new Airbus A350-900 having its engines started for the very first time.

Invalid request error occurred.

The engines on the new plane are Rolls Royce Trent XWB’s, which will fly on all of the new A350 series aircraft.

With the engines firing up, the path to the very first flight edges closer… much closer than before.

Normal airplane art will resume a bit later on today!
