Turkish Airlines continues to push onward and upward as it launches more frequencies for the Summer 2014 season, with a big push in some locations with departures from Istanbul Ataturk:
- Istanbul – Donetsk goes up to 12 services a week from 30th March, and up to 14 services a week from 23rd June
- Istanbul – Edinburgh jumps to 8 services weekly from 30th March, then 9 services from 26th May
- Istanbul – Frankfurt gets a boost between 21st June and 29th September, as they run 33 services a week in and out of Frankfurt, before reverting to 30 services a week
- Istanbul – Simferopol goes to 12 services a week from 30th March, and 14 services from 26th April
- Istanbul – Stuttgart gets a small boost, going up to 25 services from 30th March (they currently operate 24 services a week)
- Istanbul – London Gatwick raises a three times daily service from 30th March
An interesting note in how many flights there will be between the London area and Istanbul:
- 31 flights a week between Heathrow and Istanbul
- 21 flights a week between Gatwick and Istanbul
Or 52 flights a week between London and Istanbul by one airline. That’s a lot of seats to fill, but Turkish Airlines seem to be doing a good job at filling them…
… and kicking into touch some of its partners…
