A fun little story from down under, with Jetstar apologising for the actions of one of it’s crew who advised passengers dump their drugs before landing in Sydney according to the The Daily Telegraph (Australia)

The flight from The Gold Coast to Sydney was normal with passengers heading to the “Splendour in the Grass”, except for a public announcement, where the crew member said “We have been told there are sniffer dogs and quarantine officers waiting in the domestic terminal”.
The crew member then passengers “If you need to dispose of anything you shouldn’t have we suggest you flush it now.”’
Unsurprisingly, there was a rush to the toilet.
The member of staff is to be disciplined over their actions for using a causal quarantine announcement as opposed to the pre-recorded one, Facebook fans are showing their delight:

Whilst the trafficking of drugs is important thing to curb, this seems a touch … odd to say the least.
Still – its another reminder not to carry illegal substances with you on a plane anywhere…
