If you have a Miles and More account, and are a HON Circle, Senator or Frequent Traveller member, it could be worth looking in your account as Lufthansa has been depositing miles extra miles due the industrial action the airline has been suffering:
Here’s what I got as a mere FTL (Frequent Traveller):
From the FlyerTalk thread, different levels are getting different things:
- FTL: 3,000 Status Miles
- SEN: 10,000 Status Miles
- HON: 30,000 Status Miles
In effect: a 10% discount on your status.
Note, these are Status Miles which count towards you Miles and More status, and not your redeemable miles used for awards.
It’s a small gesture towards the end of the year, which for a lot of people maybe ill-timed as they have made alternative plans to get the miles they need to the end of the year.
For others – the could be useful miles at the right time to help them preserve status.
The intention is good, and for those who couldn’t fly because of the strikes – it could make a difference.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be sure to keep a look out, although I never seem to get these offers.
