Qatar Airways have been working with their Airbus A350s as they shuttle passengers back and forth between Doha and Frankfurt.
Well, it seems the true use of these new aircraft is coming to the fore as they announce new routes for the Airbus A350 – and all three routes will be to the United States of America.

So here’s the list of dates for your diaries, along with destinations (or if you’re a one of the big US Three Airlines, dates you can stomp your feet up and down at):
- Doha to Philadelphia – 1st January 2016 (one Airbus A350, upscaled from a Boeing 777-200LR)
- Doha to New York JFK – 1st March 2016 (second daily flight will be operated with an Airbus A350)
- Doha to Boston 16th March 2016 (one Airbus A350)
In addition, Qatar Airways will launching their non-stop service to Los Angeles on the 1st January 2016.
The airline operates its A350s in a two-class configuration with business and economy class aboard the plane.
The route network from Doha to the United States of America is expanding, with the airline currently serving Chicago, Dallas Fort-Worth, Houston, New York, Miami and Philadelphia – with expansion to Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles.
None the less, with new equipment turning up on routes – I’m sure the announcement will rattle a few airlines. Dread the though it might push these rattled airlines into launching competing routes – rather than moaning about it.
