Like the sun follows the moon, day follows night, French Rail workers are walking out today on strike.

The disruption runs across the SNCF Network from 7pm on Tuesday and end on Thursday morning at 8am, and will see services cancelled throughout France and beyond.
French Unions – The CGT, CFDT, Sud and Unsa – have called for this strike jointly, in a demand for more staff, salary rises and improvements in work conditions
Make no mistake, services are going to be cancelled left right and centre, with the Ile-de-France area around Paris due to suffer a reduction of two-thirds of trains not running.
For those coming into Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport, this has a major impact, as services between CDG and Antony (for Paris-Orly), there will be a 50% cut in operations.
SNCF are predicting 50% service cuts in TGV est services and Eurostar have announced major service consolidations.
Full SNCF details for Intercities and TGV Services is here (Get Google Translate working on it though)
However, SNCF’s travel advice is simple:
Eurostar is cancelling and merging services too – full changes at http://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel-info/service-information/eurostar-service-update
Thayls is unaffected, whilst Ouigo will suffer a 40% service reduction.
RER Services in the Paris region are also affected – head to http://www.ratp.fr/informer/trafic/trafic.php?cat=2
As always – plan ahead and expect the unexpected when it comes to a French National train strike
