And it seems Lufthansa are playing along – with their latest advert… taking aim at the old enemy on the football field. That would be the England Football Team

The normal disposition of an England fan when Germany heads into the finals… on penalties normally, breaking English hearts along the way (it’s a law or something).
But it’s a nightmare! – instead the fan is aboard a Lufthansa Widebody in Business class (side-note good luck getting a widebody Lufthansa plane between the UK and Germany).
See… it isn’t that bad. Or is it?

It’s playful and it’s playing well to the German audience. It plays on everyone stereotypes (be it German or English) and is good giggle.
Well played on the plane Lufthansa. We shall see on the field of dreams though if you can put more penalties in than the English Team.
