It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more airplane art.
This week, waiting to depart London Heathrow Airport is a British Airways Boeing 777-200ER painted with Masha Ma’s “East meets West’ design.
British Airways operate a fleet of 43 Boeing 777-200ERs in their long haul fleet, connecting their London bases to the world.
This Boeing 777-200ER was painted up for the GREAT Festival of Creativity hosted in Shanghai – in conjunction with the VisitBritian in 2015 – and currently retains the paintwork in active service.
The design is called “East Meets West” by Masha Ma. Here’s a video of how they put it together in 2472 man-hours and 186 individual stencils to apply.
More Airplane art next week!
