SNAPSHOT: Radisson O’Hare

29/10/2016 by Kevincm

Time for another snapshot – this time – we’re going to look at hotels. First up, the Radisson O’Hare
near Chicago O’Hare airport.

Location

The Radisson O’Hare is in Des Paines – around 10 minutes by cab or shuttle bus from O’Hare International airport (depending on traffic). It’s near the All-State Arena, and a massive Target.

The Building

It’s a low-rise two-floor building, with a cafe, restaurant and a steak house next door.

Check-in

Check-in was handled quickly, as the hotel was booked on points. A room change was requested so I was on the ground floor (mainly with the bags I had… I didn’t want to tote them too far).

The Room

The room itself is a reasonable room, with a two beds, sofa, desk and bathroom.

Bed controllers with “sleep numbers”. No. I don’t do them either.

Moving onto the bathroom, it was well equipped and well presented

Connectivity

WiFi was passable. Local connectivity back to the airport is by a shuttle bus (every half hour) or Uber and co.

Breakfast

A breakfast voucher was included on this booking. It was a buffet style, with the usuals – bacon, eggs, french toast, cereals, etc. Nothing special, but something that filled more than a hole.

My favorite part of the Raddison Ohare is that the LOT FA’s stay there and the sleep number beds.
