Ladies and Gentlemen – It’s The Final Countdown.
Diamond Club will be shuttered forever in five days.
If you haven’t heeded the warnings from Diamond Club, British Airways or MBNA (Yes, there was a message from MBNA – check your phones)
If you have transferred all your Diamond Club Miles to British Airways Avios, then you don’t need to do anything (apart from maybe abusing the 10% discount one last wonderful time).
If you ignored me for the last month, thinking it doesn’t affect you, my advice would be to head to your Diamond Club Account now at http://www.diamondclub.org to see if you have any leftover Avios.
The I would head to https://www.britishairways.com/travel/combine-avios/execclub/_gf/en_gb to ensure those Avios are transferred.
Why? Once Diamond Club shutters, any miles left there will be Lost and gone forever.
To quote Europe – This is the final countdown. We’re leaving forever.
And so is Diamond Club. Don’t let your miles go to waste, and ensure you’ve transferred them.

You beat me to it…when I saw the name of this article I was going to reply with that video. Europe was quite possibly possibly the worst hair band ever – every song they played led to a round of “who does this sound like a cheesy ripoff of?” One song sounded like Asia, another like Loverboy, and so on.
I heard them live once – didn’t see them, just heard them. They opened for Def Leppard on the outdoor leg of the “Hysteria” tour, and when I went to the show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, most of the crowd (including my group) kept partying in the parking lot while they were playing.
(And yes, I’m old…)
But this song lives on – we use it at work all the time for countdowns to vacations and holidays.
