Time for my traditional end of year review when I look back at the last twelve months and try and work out “what did I do”?

It’s been an odd year of travel, with the majority of my travel stacked towards the end of the year as opposed to being distributed elsewhere (there were reasons for this… maybe I’ll write about them sometime).
A mere 28,042 butt in seat miles this year, with the Airbus A330 taking most of the long-haul seats (thankfully, I only had one clapped out 767 and an equally clapped out 747 earlier in the year). Meanwhile, in shorthaul land Airbus narrow body family took the lead.
But there were new travel experiences too. For example, trying a new airline such as Finnair, trying out ATR Turboprops and actually flying long haul aboard British Airways A380 (it’s something I’ve been trying to be weaving into my travels when I can).
So what does 2017 hold?
- I’m back to Tallinn in a few weeks to wrap up my British Airways Silver
- I’m starting to sort out my Chicago Trip… which runs into a lovely trip to Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg
- And I’ve still got 10 days of business leave to take. Might do something with them shortly
From the Team at Economy Class and Beyond, I wish you a pleasant 2017.
Well… it can’t be any worse that 2016.
