Sometimes, you have to wonder about the state of what people were thinking of when they take seflies.
This one pretty much takes the biscuit. Here’s the video and tweet from ProRail (the rail infrastructure owners in the Nederlands).

These idiots (for there is quite frankly no other word for them) drive and park a car on a level crossing.
With the car parked in the middle of the crossing, a passenger gets out of the car, running onto a track, taking a number of pictures of the car from different angles.
The car was parked on a railway crossing for around a minute – which can only be described as a candidate for a Darwin Award.
Now, they might had got away with it too, if it wasn’t for ProRail installing Solar Powered CCTV cameras on their network.
There are plenty of places in the world for a selfie or a car photo. Parked on a rail line on a rail crossing isn’t one of them.

At first I was hoping a train would just come along and take out the car, but then I read the details (I’d just skipped to the video of stupidity) and realized it wasn’t in the UK, so there had to still be a driver in the car.
That is some serious stupidity.
